Welcome to Fordham University's On-Line Stafford Loan Request.

In order to receive a Federal Stafford Loan, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Fordham must have received it. Please check your Student Aid Report (SAR) to make sure Fordham is listed on it and that all your other information is accurate before proceeding. If you have been selected for verification or additional information has been requested, all requirements must be satisfied before your loan can be processed.

To receive a Stafford Loan during any term in the academic year, you must be a matriculated student and enrolled for at least half-time (6 credits). If you are a graduate student involved in degree requirements, dissertation, or field work, be sure to complete your Enrollment Certification Status Form with the head of your department and the Registrar's Office.

By successfully completing this loan request form, you will be providing all the information required for Fordham to complete the processing of your loan.

Please note:
  • Loan amounts borrowed during the summer preceding your academic year will reduce your eligibility for the Fall and Spring terms.
  • Receipt of loan proceeds may be delayed if you have already submitted a Loan Request and you are changing your loan period or lender.
  • Fordham will certify a loan with ANY lender or guarantor you choose. Students are not required to use any of the lenders on our list and will suffer no penalty for choosing a lender that is not.
