What is a Citibank Private Consolidation Loan? |
A Citibank Private Consolidation Loan
combines several existing private student loans into one new loan. You
can enjoy the convenience of a single new loan with a low fixed or variable interest rate, and one
monthly payment. |
| |
Should I apply for a Private Consolidation Loan individually or with a co-signer?
You may apply for a loan on your own. However, if you do not have an established credit history, you may prefer to apply with a qualified co-signer to potentially receive a lower interest rate. Credit histories for you and any co-signer may be used as a factor in determining your eligibility for a loan. The interest rate charged is a reflection of the credit score of the applicant and a co-signer, if applicable.
Apply Online to get a credit response in 3 minutes or
less and see the interest rate for which you qualify. You may be able to get a lower rate if you
apply with a co-signer. |

choice between a fixed or variable interest rate. The fixed interest
rate is as low as . The variable interest rate is as low as . See APR examples. |
| |
How should I select my interest rate? |
Select a fixed rate if you want to know what your payment will be every month. Fixed monthly payments allow you to easily plan and budget. This is the most common rate choice of borrowers. A variable rate will be subject to change based on the fluctuations of the underlying interest rate index, which in this case is the 3-Months LIBOR (London Inter-Bank Offered Rates). Whether you choose a fixed or variable rate depends on your level of comfort with interest rate risk. You should choose the rate you prefer. View APR Examples. |

How much will my monthly payments be? |
Your monthly payment will depend upon how much you borrow and your interest rate selection. To estimate your monthly loan payment amount, use our Private Consolidation Loan Calculator. |
